  5. Here are some other examples of student work that did not achieve full credit and the explanations why.
  6. Complete planning form and submit to Mr. Melendez. due 2/27
    1. You should begin by searching for computing innovations. This list contains innovations, but not all are computing innovations. They must be computer innovations or depend on computers. They should make use of data. (…consumes, produces or transforms data.) due 2/27
  7. Save all links you use today in gathering information to a document in your google drive. Share this document with Mr. Melendez due 2/27
    1. In the same document write a summary of what the innovation is. Explain it’s purpose and function. Write about it’s benefits and it’s harmful effects. due 2/27.
  8. Review the AP Explore Task Q & A for Students  Answer the questions in this form. due 2/28
  9. Review  the  AP Explore Task Scoring Guidelines and complete this form.  due 2/28

    1. The sources must be credible and relevant and easily accessed.
    2. 2 of the sources must be dated after June 2016.
    3. The online sources must include the permanent url, identify the author, title, source, the date you retrieved the source and if possible the date it was posted.
    4. Number the citation.
  11. In the shared document add an explanation of how the computing innovation uses data. Due 3/1
    1. Explain how is produces, consumes or transforms data.
    2. Explain one data storage concern, data privacy concern or data security concern directly related to the computing innovation.
  12. Plan the computational artifact. Due 3/ 1
    1. Explain in the shared document what your computational artifact will be.
    2. Explain how the computational artifact will illustrate, represent or explain the computing innovations intended purpose, function or effect.
    3. Explain if it will be a video, audio or pdf. A pdf can be a graphic.
  13. Complete the computational artifact due 3/3
    1. Make sure you have produced a video, audio or pdf file.
    2. The pdf file can be a graphic.
    3. A Video file must be a mp3, mp4, wmv, avi, mov, wav or aif files.
    4. The artifact must provide an illustration,  representation or explain the computing innovations intended purpose function or effect.
    5. The artifact can not just repeat the information provided in the written responses and should be primarily non-textual.
  14. Complete 2a and 2b of the written responses in a word document. Back up the word document in your google drive. due 3/6
